Drawing Close to God

Matthew 13:29-30 NIV84

” ‘No,’ he answered, ‘because while you are pulling the weeds, you may root up the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest. At that time I will tell the harvesters: First collect the weeds and tie them in bundles to be burned; then gather the wheat and bring it into my barn.’ ”

Andy's part:
If God got rid of evil, He might also hurt His children. Without the bad you would not be drawn to Him and would be tempted to rely on yourself.

Catherine's part:
God is really showing His love to us by allowing us to suffer hardships, therefore, like James says, we should: 'Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance.' (1:2-3)
